Legea Cauzalitatii in tehnicile Gann ~ forex market hours usa

Cand s-a finalizat cel de-al doilea picior al patternului ? In momentul in care pretul se gasea pe nivelul de suport dinamic al unghiului 2x1 aflat in confluenta cu nivelul de rezistenta de 12,5% timp. Revenim la primul grafic si ce observam? Cand s-a format bottom-ul? In momentul in care pretul se gasea pe suportul dinamic al unghiului 1x1 aflat in confluenta cu nivelul de rezistenta de 12,5% timp. Este aici o coincidenta? Vorbim de o simpla intamplare? Personal nu cred in intamplari.

-Scalarea graficelor.
-Setarea instrumentelor de timp si de pret.
-Determinarea vibratiilor Gann
-Constructia corecta a unghiurilor
-Citirea graficelor Gann
-Determinarea nivelelor de intrare intr-o tranzactie
-Stabilirea nivelelor de stop loss
-Calcularea raportului Risc-Profit
-Filtrarea tranzactiilor
-Managerizarea tranzactiilor
-Iesirea dintr-o tranzactie
Cursul se va desfasura prin email si dureaza  11 zile.
Pe parcursul cursului toate tehnicile vor fi ilustrate cu exemple practice, pas cu pas, din piata Forex curenta.
Cursul se sustine in limba romana. Studentii din strainatate pot sa-l traduca cu ajutorul google translate. Cursul este insotit de foarte multe exemple grafice, practice. In cazul in care studentii din strainatate vor avea neclaritati datorate traducerii automate cu google translate vor putea sa puna intrebari concrete si vor primi raspunsurile in limba engleza.

Inscrierile la curs se fac la adresa de email gannmasterforex@gmail.com
Plata se face prin paypal.
Fiecare student incepe cursul imediat dupa confirmarea platii si finalizeaza dupa 11 zile.
Pe tot parcursul cursului studentii pot sa puna intrebari asupra tematicilor abordate.

CCI and Momentum Intraday Trading - forex market hours good friday

,

CCI and Momentum Intraday Trading ~ forex market hours good friday

CCI and Momentum trading is an intraday system will shortly explain all the indicators we will be using. Time Frame 15 min or 30 min. Currency pairs: majors.
Momentum
The Momentum indicator is a speed of movement (or rate of change) indicator, that is designed to
identify the speed (or strength) of a price movement. In other words you should be buying when the price is picking up momentum and selling when that momentum has been lost.
We use Momentum with period 60, computed from typical price. The rule is that we go long only if the Momentum is higher than 100, and go short if Momentum is lower than 100.
Commodity Chanel Index – CCI
The Commodity Channel Index indicator is based on an observation that the market moves in cyclical movements which means high and low of the price are coming in periodic intervals and in
consecutive fashion. So, if we can detect those cycles we can detect the beginning and the ending
of the trend. CCI is used to help identify price reversals, price extremes and trend strength.
We use CCI with period 60, computed from typical price.
Entering the trade
As I said earlier, our trading time is 5:30am GMT time. You should get to the computer about 5
minutes before 5:30 and wait until the candle finishes.
For indicator values, you should check the chart at a close of 5:15am candle at 5:30am.
I use Alpari UK broker, so 5:30am GMT is 7:30am in broker time that you see on the charts.
LONG signal
We will go LONG (buy) if and only if ALL the following conditions are met:
1. Momentum(60) of the 5:15am candle is higher than 100 AND lower than 100,8 (in other
words between 100 and 100,8)
2. CCI(60) of the 5:15am candle is higher than 0
Then we will buy at Market price.
CCI and Momentum Intraday Trading
CCI and Momentum Intraday Trading

We can see that Momentum is above 100 (but below 100,8) and CCI is also above 0, so we enter
Long by Market price.

SHORT signal
We will go SHORT (sell) if and only if ALL the following conditions are met:
1. Momentum(60) of the 5:15am candle is lower than 100 AND higher than 99,2 (in other
words between 99,2 and 100)
2. CCI (60) of the 5:15am candle is lower than 0
Then we will sell at Market price.
Example

We can see that Momentum is below 100 (but above 99,2) and CCI is also below 0, so we enter Short
by Market price.
NO TRADE
We will NOT TRADE for the day if some of the conditions are not met.
For example Momentum >100, but CCI < 0; or if Momentum > 100,8
Example
At 22 July 2010, you can see that the conditions to enter either long or short were not filled.
Momentum is below 100, but CCI is above 0.
We will always use fixed Profit Target 40 pips and fixed Stop Loss 40 pips. After we enter the trade,
we don’t manage it; we simply wait until it hits profit or loss. You can leave the computer and check
the result in the evening or next morning.
ALWAYS DOUBLECHECK that you have set your Stop Loss and Profit Target properly before leaving the computer!

Money Management
Rule1
Always use Stop Loss.
Stop Loss (SL) is an order that will tell the system to cancel the trade at the given loss, if the market is going against us. This way it protects us by keeping our loses defined and small. Trading without SL or moving SL will eventually lead to account wipeout.
If the market is going against us, we should simply accept the small loss and quit the trade. All trading systems are based on probability or some edge. There is no system that will only win. Losses are a part of the trading, and what matters is the positive result at the end of the month or year, not today’s loss.
Stop Loss of 40 pips, so you will never lose more than 40 pips on one trade.

The general rule for any system is to NOT risk more than 2 % of your trading account on one trade.
This means that if you have account with $2,000 capital, you should risk maximum 2% of it on one
trade, which is $40.
Because our Stop Loss is always 40 pips, you can trade Forex Morning Trade with 0.1 standard lot
(which is 1 minilot, and 1 pip is $1).
If you have account with $ 10,000 capital, your 2 % risk is $200. Because our Stop Loss is always 40 pips, you can compute the lots size using the formula: Minilots = (risked amount) / (SL in pips).
In our case: $200/40 pips = 5 minilots (which is 0.5 standard lots and 1 pip equals to $5)
So, with $10,000 capital and trading 0.5 lots, if Forex Morning Trade System wins, you’ll earn $200, if it loses, you lose $200.
A good rule to remember: if I use 0.1 lot, then 1 pip = $1. If I use 0.2 lots, then 1 pip = $2 and so on.

Whats wrong with Chinese New Year - forex trading yogyakarta

,

Whats wrong with Chinese New Year ~ forex trading yogyakarta

Its that time of the year again where all things red fill our surroundings, Chinese new year songs with drums and gongs jam the radio stations and streets. You might be surprised
to hear this, but theres actually something wrong with Chinese New Year. No wonder every year people say the new year spirit is lower than the previous year.

Here are some of the things i noticed;

1) Its a different date every year!

We celebrate New Year on the 1st of January every year. Same for Christmas on 25th of December and National Day on the 9th of August every year.  But when it comes to Chinese New Year, it can range from early January to even March! How confusing is that?

I understand it happens this way due to us Chinese following of the lunar calendar. But we are so used to following the January to December calendar format and that is the reason why we hear people asking without fail every year, "Hey when will Chinese New Year be next year huh? I need to plan my leave leh."

In fact i need some time to generate the mood, man!

2) Ang baos are too overly rated

Elders and married couples are usually the ones giving ang baos (red packet) to the younger ones or unmarried relatives in the family line. The symbol of giving ang bao is to suppress ageing, give blessings and good luck for challenges faced in the coming year.

However, we are now in the era where heaps of articles will come out publishing the appropriate amount to give. They can be based on age, closeness, and even how much you earn. Its almost like a yearly payment to the tax man. I am suppose to give more if i earn more and not according to my own wishes? No wonder no atmosphere lor. The giver wants to give less, the receiver wants more.

Haha my wife handles all the angbao budgeting and giving but my savings plan is sure gonna get a beating..

3) Eating and drinking

The feasting begins long before the actual Chinese New Year. From barbecue pork to pineapple tarts, mandarin orange to soft drinks and beers. All these are right in front of you whether you are at home or in the office.

Then comes the reunion lunches, reunion dinners with relatives from your fathers side, your mothers side, your wifes father and mother side...the list goes on and every meal is a mega feasting.

It probably doesnt end until 2 week after the CNY holidays. (We are supposed to celebrate CNY for 15 days, you know..)

The good part about this though, is the gathering of friends and relatives but the bad part is the side effects that comes along with over eating like indigestion and most importantly, weight gain.

But I guess the most determined of us cant resist the hammering of good food for so many days...

4) Ghost towns everywhere

The trains and buses become near empty, shopping centres become less lively and also less convenient as businesses close for these few days or even up to a week as Singapore is largely populated with Chinese and we usually take a few more days of leave after the official public holiday.

Therefore every one else is having a feasting of their own. And if you are looking for a cab on the streets, good luck to you as they will be few and far between.

5) Questions from relatives and friends

It seems like our uncles and aunties are the most forgetful people in the world. Every year since young, without fail, there will be the exact same set of questions being asked.

If you are schooling, they will ask you about your results. If you are working, they will ask you about your work, your pay, whether you have girlfriend or boyfriend, then comes the when are you getting married, when are you having your first child, then 2nd child... the list goes on. But i guess its all part of an effort to get to know each other more and should really be appreciated.

Above all, Chinese New Year is a time for reunion and also a joyous occasion to be celebrated. So let just relax and look on the bright side of every thing and spread the love!

Monthly Savings Expenses Feb (updated) ~ forex trading platform mac os x

Monthly Savings & Expenses Feb 2016

Ok ok ok! The crunch month has finally ended! This is the most challenging challenge month (other than Christmas) for me! The month of Chinese New Year, the month when my
bank account is expected to take a beating; Left, Right and Centre! Kapow!!! The budgeting for the whole year could burst in this very month!

Heres what i spent on...

Monthly Expenses Feb 2016

House ($599.10) - Grocery shopping trips to NTUC, Giant or other supermarkets are included here. New addition to this month was a $330 storeroom rack installed. Its always good to look into your storeroom every now and then as this major shifting of my storeroom items resulted in many items which i probably forgot of its existence but actually good for resale. Hey! Its Carousell time!

Gifts ($794.35) - Whoa, where did all that money come from  go to? Red packet (Ang bao) blessings to family, relatives and friends. Can this be considered as giving back to society? Hmm probably not..but giving out these money actually felt good!

Food & Eating out ($548.95) - Ohhh gimme a break...whats a festive season without eating out and good food? LoL.

Transport & Taxi ($104.95) - I am just glad its not more. Taxi trips for CNY visiting is no small matter, especially when the road is all quiet at times.

Communication ($40.00) - Cant complain here, my M1 bill is still on 3G plan but i have 12 GB of data while everyone else is on....what? 3GB? 4GB?

Entertainment ($65.40) - Its been awhile since i last went to the movies at a cinema and there is nothing quite like watching a movie at the cinema but gosh, its $12.50 a ticket!

Baby ($423.00) - Its the usual stuffs, diapers, milk, rash cream, food and toys.

52 Weeks Increasing Money Challenge
($106) - Automation works like a charm! 4 weeks of $26.50! Yeah!

Carousell
($14.60) Someone is buying my stuffs! Check it out yo!
These are stuffs lying around my house and I am just glad to let go even a low prices.
And oh, i cleared out a ton of old newspapers, magazines and papery stuffs during my CNY mini spring cleaning...for $3.60. Well, that settled my breakfast for the day. :)

(p.s. Thats 4 less things from my 52 less things challenge!)

Bank Balance Transfer
($28.22) Research have shown that if you constantly do something for 21 days, it will develop into a habit.
Having done this for 3 months, i can say that its working on me. Every time i see any loose balance in my account, i am tempted to transfer that into savings.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once again i have witnessed how fast time passes just by looking at the rate my little girl is growing and have the feeling that i am still not saving enough.
If you are not doing any saving for some time, today is a good day to start.
Set up a 2nd bank account if you dont already have one, check out how i set my automated fund transfer every week to my "Everything Monthly Balance". Let the power of automation do its magic, and then go back to your slacking ways. Haha. :)
The Straddle trade step by step - forex trading hours in ist
,
The Straddle trade step by step ~ forex trading hours in ist
The straddle trade step by step
1. We identify a day in which a major news announcement is expected – –one which is likely to move a specific currency.
2. We identify the time of the expected news release.
3. We observe the market activity as the date and time approach.
(We are looking for indications that the market is anticipating a serious move.
This would be indicated by the prices moving within a tight range for at least
5 – – 6 hours prior to the expected news release.)
4. We take note of the upper and lower bands of the range and establish resistance and support price levels.
The Straddle trade step by step
5. We enter buy and sell orders 15 – – 20 is PIPs away, on either side of the resistance and support levels, thereby “ “ straddling” ” the market.
6. We enter stop loss orders for each of our opening orders to ensure proper equity management. Stop Loss orders should be no more than 5% of your equity on a trade, i.e. 25 PIPs.
The Straddle trade step by step
7. We wait for the news release to move the market to our order price.
Once the market trades at our price, our order will be filled.
8. We now have to cancel the opening and stop loss orders that are no longer relevant and monitorour active trade.
The Straddle trade step by step
9. We may now begin to move our stop loss order on the active trade in order to lock in profits (“ “ trail our stop” ”) – – though not too closely lest the market take us out on a t retracement wave.
10. When we reach our limit order, predetermined profit level or we notice the trend has broken, its time to take profits and close the trade. Remember to cancel the open stop loss order if it doesn’ ’t
automatically cancel.
Peko Money Tracker Cash Out 5 ~ forex trading zone indicator
Cashout number 5
Still no new invites, but i gave myself a target of 10k points a day minimum if not more and see how it goes. Asking around for pekos certainly helps and making new peko buddies are a good way to ensure repeat pekos.
I had previously mentioned about the peko gold strategy but i am sure there is none for a "jackpot strategy". You probably need bionic eyes to be able to catch the fast upwards scolling of the jackpot machine.
Pink Scalping - forex market trading hours gmt
,
Pink Scalping ~ forex market trading hours gmt
Pink scalping is to trade a news release.
I usually change timeframes between 15 Minute and 1 Minute charts when I’m scalping.
If I want to trade a news release, I would have the 15 Minute and 5 Minute charts open.
Aside from the normal setup on 15 Minute charts, I also apply support and resistance lines following the fractals formed on the price. On the 15 Minute timeframe, I just place lines manually to indicate areas that have repeatedly served as areas of support and resistance. I also draw trendlines to indicate the price direction.
Indicators:
ADX (14),
EMA 14 close,
EMA 21 close,
EMA 40 close,
Trendline
Fractals or Swing High/Low
Pivot Points.
Pink scalping rules
I have two scalping methods of trading. The first method is used for scalping during
news releases and the other is for normal scalping.
News Straddle Approach
1. Set up a schedule for the day with high impact news releases for the EURUSD,
GBPUSD, AUDUSD, EURJPY, USDCAD and NZDUSD.
2. Five minutes before a high impact news release, place a pending buy and a pending
stop order, both 20 pips away from the price on the 5 Minute chart.
4. Set the stop losses 30 pips from the pending orders.
5. Wait for a trade to be entered then exit the trade manually with a profit of 5 pips or
more.
Normal Scalping Approach For Buy Trades
1. On the 15 Minute chart, check for any of the following signals:
a. The price is above the 21 period exponential moving average (dark orange or
red).
b. The 14 period moving average (magenta or purple) is above the 21 period
moving average. This indicates that the trend is an uptrend on the 15 Minute
timeframe. At times, I also use 5 and 8 period moving averages. They should be
above the 21 period moving average too.
c. The ADX is sloping up and is above the 30 level. This indicates that the uptrend
momentum is gaining strength.
d. The trendline indicator is slanting up. This also indicates that the trend is an
uptrend on the 15 Minute timeframe.
2. Go to the 1 Minute chart and check for the following signals:
a. The trendline indicator is slanting up, which indicates that the trend is an uptrend.
b. The ADX is sloping up or is above the 30 level.
3. Enter a buy trade on the 1 Minute chart when any one of the following conditions
occur:
a. The price breaks a resistance level or a previous swing high on the 1 Minute or
15 Minute timeframes.
b. The price bounced off from the lower trendline on the 1 Minute or 15 Minute
timeframes.
c. The price pulled back to the 21 EMA or a shorter period EMA on the 1 Minute or
15 Minute timeframes.
2. Set the stop loss level 30 pips below the price, or below the previous low. Move the
stop to the entry price (breakeven) at 5 pips profit.
3. Exit the trade at a profit of 5 pips or more.
Pink scalping
Pink scalping
In this example, the trendlines are going upward indicating that the main trend is an
uptrend on the 1 Minute and 15 Minute timeframes.
I noticed that the price had bounced from the lower trendline and was going up. Looking
at the ADX, it is also going up. So, once price had crossed above the moving averages,
I entered a buy trade before the candle closed.
I set my stop loss level below the swing lows. As soon as the trade reached 5 pips in
profit, I exited the trade.
This example is an ideal trade, but in case the price does not behave as expected, you
will have to take the profit that the market is willing to give you.
The news scalping strategy for a sell trade has the same guidelines with buy trades
because you enter both buy and sell pending orders every time.
Follow the guidelines below to enter trades without high impact news releases.
Normal Scalping Approach For Sell Trades
1. On the 15 Minute chart, check for any of the following signals:
a. The price is below the 21 period EMA (dark orange or red).
b. The 14 period moving average (magenta or purple) is below the 21 period
moving average. This indicates that the trend is a downtrend on the 15 Minute
timeframe. At times, I also use 5 and 8 period moving averages. They should be
below the 21 period moving average too.
c. The ADX is sloping up and is above the 30 level. This indicates that the
downtrend momentum is gaining strength.
d. The trendline indicator is slanting down. This also indicates that the trend is a
downtrend on the 15 Minute timeframe.
2. Go to the 1 Minute chart and check for the following signals:
a. The trendline indicator is slanting down, which indicates that the trend is a
downtrend.
b. The ADX is sloping up or is above the 30 level.
3. Enter a sell trade on the 1 Minute chart when any one of the following conditions
occur:
a. The price breaks a support level or a previous swing low on the 1 Minute or 15
Minute timeframes.
b. The price bounced off from the upper trendline on the 1 Minute or 15 Minute
timeframes.
c. The price pulled back to the 21 EMA or a shorter period EMA on the 1 Minute or
15 Minute timeframes.
2. Set the stop loss level 30 pips above the price, or above the previous high. Move the
stop to the entry price (breakeven) at 5 pips profit.
3. Exit the trade at a profit of 5 pips or more.
Pink Scalping
In this example, the trendlines on both 1 Minute and 15 Minute timeframes are going
downward indicating that the main trend is a downtrend.
After rejecting from an upper trendline, the price had crossed under the EMAs. The
EMAs are also beginning to form a downtrend.
The ADX is going up in the 1 Minute timeframe while it is already above 30 level in the
15 Minute timeframe. I entered a sell trade and set the stop loss level above the
previous swing high. As soon as the trade reached 5 pips in profit, I exited the trade.
Countertrend trading ~ trading hours for forex
Constricted ranges dictate countertrend trading plays. This classic swing strategy uses clearly marked boundaries to buy weakness and sell strength. When S/R draws strong congestion, sell short as price tests resistance and go long when it falls into support. Use the charting landscape to guide low-risk execution levels. Keep in mind that the first thrust into S/R usually offers the best fade position and that odds will deteriorate on repeated tests. And remember that swing entry is always very price sensitive.
FIGURE 1
Short-term volatility shakes out intraday traders during these six hours of choppy Nextel action. Meaningless price swings of 2 to 2 1/2 points masks the underlying downtrend, squeezes shorts and relieves weak hands of their stock positions. Many intraday trends respond to conflicting intermarket cycles that ensure a bumpy rise for the momentum crowd. Look for convergence between indices, futures, and equities when trading short-term momentum.
Countertrend trading
Countertrend trading
Focus the intended execution near a single price level and stick to it. Never chase entry and always maintain a tight stop loss. Countertrend trades must execute with minimum slippage right at or close to known S/R. The swing trader should stand aside if conditions don’t allow for this narrowentry. These setups manage risk through small losses taken when positions violate specific S/Rzones. A series of larger losses due to poor execution will eliminate a very good profit.
Target reward through examination of the local features. If possible, carry the position until price approaches the other extreme of the range. Broad congestion likely mirrors intermediate S/R that inhibits a quick price thrust across the pattern. Many swing traders find that single direct price moves without retracement provide the best conditions for a profitable exit. Consider getting out as price jumps into that first boundary. If this is the chosen style, the original reward:risk evaluationshould confirm that this price target carries enough profit to make the trade worthwhile.
Buying bottoms and selling tops carefully applies countertrend strategies. Major highs and lows attract interest more than any other charting landscape feature. This ensures a large supply of participants but also invites more whipsaws and unexpected outcomes. Apply this primary rule at tests of prior highs and lows: fade the first test after a significant pullback but trade in the direction
of the extreme on subsequent tests. Price tends to break out of ranges on the third try (second test of a high or low).
Use small reversal patterns in the chart below the holding period to fade entry near S/R extremes.
Adam and Eve patterns and double tops/bottoms present simple formations that apply this 3D
technique. Short sales depend on price violating the bottom of the smaller top pattern, while long
positions signal when price surges through the top of the smaller bottom pattern. This original
method allows low-risk execution close to the larger high or low in anticipation of a favorable price
move.
Victor Sperandeo’s 2B trade in Methods of a Wall Street Master and Raschke and Connor’s Turtle
Soup in Street Smarts both trap the crowd as it leans the wrong way right after price violates a high
or low but reverses immediately. As smart traders adopt these contrary tactics, many price extremes
face increased danger of a swift reversal after the initial breakout or breakdown. The safest 2B fade
strategy lags the crowd before position entry. Let the price action break through key levels but don’t
execute in the opposite direction until it pops back across support or resistance.
Trade 2B setups defensively. The market may still want to break through the barrier. Ride the
subsequent pullback to the first natural swing level and then exit. After a good reaction the trend
can reassert itself quickly and take out the old extreme. This follows the wisdom to fade the first
test of an old high or low but follow the trend on the second test. Apparent triple bottoms and tops
often yield to significant breakouts or breakdowns.
Watch out when a new high or low retraces and forms congestion close to the price extreme. Simple
continuation patterns can quickly ignite into new trend thrusts. Stay away from small pennants and
short pullbacks when planning 2B entry. The best reversals for this pattern come when a sharp
retracement occurs after the first high or low. The subsequent test should then print more price bars
than the decline that precedes it. Also pay close attention to lower-pane indicators as the event
approaches. The trade cross-verifies when oscillators diverge from price direction just as the old
high or low breaks.
Pullback entry into a strongly trending market represents a major category of swing tactics. This classic setup buys the first sharp decline into support or sells the first bear rally into resistance. Exit depends on many factors, including personal trading style, holding period, and available capital.Subsequent swings also offer safe entry, but risk increases as trends evolve and reach overbought-oversold conditions. In other words, each pullback after the first one has higher odds of being areversal rather than a continuation pattern. Chapter 8 examines this bread-and-butter swing trade in greater detail.
Central tendency presents high reward: high risk opportunities at the extremes of price action. These tactics work best in congested markets or in the extreme volatility near climax events. The strategy fades price when a long bar thrusts out of a Bollinger Band extreme more than 50% of its entire length. In rangebound markets, odds for success improve substantially when the top orbottom band aligns horizontally just before the violation and price thrusts into known resistance (other than the band itself).
FIGURE 2
The 2B reversal (1) traps participants that sell short into a violation of the last intermediate low. This classicscenario also appears at double tops right after new highs. Enter the reversal as soon as price jumps back within the prior S/R. This Broadvision example also illustrates a clear stop gunning exercise just before the market moves substantially higher. Note how both (2) and (3) offer logical long side entry for the subsequent rally.
Countertrend trading
Countertrend trading
Consider this trade at the end of parabolic rallies and selloffs. The bands will turn close to vertical as these events progress. Look for an intense burst of energy that forces the bar to break halfway or more through the band. This signals the possible climax and invites countertrend entry. Butsuccessful execution requires both a skilled hand and excellent timing. Some blowoffs can issue aseries of these bars before a violent reversal. Use cross-verification and tight stop loss to managerisk. And master other setups before attempting this dangerous trade.
Bearish Engulfing Pattern ~ forex trading hours in gmt
Bearish Engulfing pattern criteria
1. Located at the top of an uptrend, even if the uptrend has been short.
2. The body of the first blue candle is completely engulfed by the body of the second red candle.
Shadows are not a consideration.
3. When the engulfing pattern occurs after a fast move up there will be less stock to slow down the
reversal move.
4. When the engulfing body engulfs more than one previous candle body there is more power in the
reversal.
5. If the engulfing body engulfs the body and the shadow of the previous candle there is more power in the reversal.
Trend and Go trading - forex trading hours christmas 2013
Trend and Go trading ~ forex trading hours christmas 2013
Trend and go is a trend-momentum strategy for intraday trading and swing.
Chart setup
If you want to setup your charts manually then you need to add the
following indicators:
- A 40-Period Exponential Moving Average of the Close price.
- A 80-Period Exponential Moving Average of the Close price.
- A 21-period CCI (Commodity Channel Index) indicator.
The second rule is that if you’re trading on the hourly chart (or any timeframe less than the hourly) – this is classed as intraday.
For this I recommend that you try and only trade between the hours of 06:00GMT and 16:00GMT. More specifically, if you can limit your trading to just 06:00GMT and 11:00GMT then your results should be even better!
If you’re trading 4-hour charts and above – it does not matter when
you trade.
So, that’s the first two rules.
The third (and final) rule is how we enter.
If the 40EMA is above the 80EMA we look to buy when:
The CCI indicator crosses from below 0.0 to ABOVE 0.0.
If the 40EMA is below the 80EMA we look to sell when:
The CCI indicator crosses from above 0.0 to BELOW 0.0.
Like this:
high to enter (in the case of a buy) – or a break of the low to enter (in the case of a sell).
So, looking at the above two charts I showed you, the level marked
‘(A)’ is where we would BUY ...and the level marked ‘(B)’ is where
we would SELL.
That’s all there is to the system!
Okay, there is a bit more like stoploss levels, take-profit target and some other things (which we’ll now cover) – but we’re about 80% or the way there!
Stoploss
The stoploss is super-simple.
We don’t place it behind any levels or such – but just enter a rough amount that will keep us “safe”.
It may not sound too strategic but it really works – especially because our stoplosses are generally smaller this way.
This is a rough guide to the size of my stoplosses on various
timeframes:
5-min 10 – 15 pips
15-min 15 – 20 pips
30-min 15 – 25 pips
Hourly 20 – 35 pips
4-Hour 30 – 50 pips
Daily 50 – 150 pips
Note: some of these may be larger or small depending on the pair
(for example, on the EUR/JPY 30-min I might use a 30 – 40 pip stoploss).
After just a few trades you will figure out the best stoploss to use for your trading.
Take Profit
Okay – the fun part – when to grab your pips!
I’ve tried many different ways of taking profit on my trades.
I’ve tried grabbing just 10 pips at a time ...I’ve tried letting my trades run for as long as I can ...and I’ve tried everything in between!
The take-profit strategy that I ended up sticking with is just taking profit at 3:1.
In other words, if my stoploss is 25 pips ...then I will set my take profit at 75 pips.
However, once price reaches 2:1 – I will move my stoploss to breakeven so that if the trade reverses against me – I lose nothing!
The Type Of Candle
The first thing I want to mention is probably the most significant thing that will boost your profits (and keep you out of bad trades!).
Although we only need to watch for when CCI crosses the 0.0-line ...we can also gain a nice advantage by watching what type of candle occurs at the same time the CCI crosses the 0.0-line.
Our ideal candle would be one that has momentum behind it – in other words, a long candle that is the same (or larger) than the few candles before it.
This type of candle shows that there is buyers (or sellers) coming into the market.
Here’s an example:
Breakout and pullback conditions for setups.
Before a stock or currency pair makes our breakout “watchlist,” it must satisfy two key criteria:
Stock or currency pair must be in uptrend
Stock or currency pair must have a valid basing configuration pattern.
How define an up trend (for down trend reverse conditions).
20?day EMA must be trading at or near the 50?day MA when the stock is forming a base and clearly above the 50?day MA when in trend mode.  For pullback trades, the 20?day EMA must be above the 50?day MA.
-20?day EMA must be above the 200?day MA
- 50?day MA must be above the 200?day MA
-Both the 50 and 200?day MAs must be in a clear uptrend for at least a
few months.
- The price action should be in an uptrend with a series of higher highs
and higher lows in place over the past 3 ? 6 months (at the very least).
- Current price should at least be 30 ? 40% above the 52?week low
Valid basing pattern for breakout entry
- A base (or zone of congestion) is anywhere from 1 month to 1 year in length. For our style of trading, we prefer bases that form in a 1 - 3 month period that find and hold support of the 50-day
MA.
-We want to see “tight” price action in the base, especially during the last two weeks before the breakout.
-A valid base should pullback anywhere from 10 - 30% off the swing high. Once a stock retraces 40 - 50% or more, we begin to question the strength of the uptrend.
We must see a “higher low” form within the base. This is crucial to the pattern. Without a higher low forming, we have no way to set a stop and therefore can not define the risk.
- Volume should be declining during a base, or at the very least, not heavier than average. If there are too many days of heavy volume selling in a base, the base could be faulty.
