Detrend Forex Trading System is a momentum strategy.

Time Frame 60 min or higher.

Currency pairs: majors (only 60 min time frame) or higher time frame.

Indicators:

Simple moving average 3 period close;

Simple moving average 15 period close;

Detrend Indicator (DPO) 14 period close;

ADX (14 period close, with 25 level);

MACD (default setting: 12, 26, 9).

See setting in the picture below:

In the above chart, the black MA is the 3 day, and the light blue MA is the 15 day. When

using the 3/15 cross, a buy confirmation is when the 3 day crosses above the 15 day, and a

sell confirmation is when the 3 day crosses below the 15 day. (Please see above chart) For

us to take a signal from the DPO, when the confirmation from the MACD and DMI

(optional) is there, the 3/15 must confirm the trade by crossing up to 3 candles before or

after the DPO crosses the zero line. Let’s say the DPO crosses above the zero line and that cross is confirmed by the MACD and the DMI, and then on the same candle the 3/15 crosses also, or on the 2 nd or 3 rd candle after the DPO crosses the 3/15 crosses, this is a valid signal. If on the other hand the 3/15 cross first, (which occurs much more frequently) and we get a signal on the DPO on that candle or the second or third candle after the cross of the 3/15, then that is a valid confirmation. In the above chart, both of these examples of the 3/15 cross is a perfect example of a valid sell signal, and then a valid buy signal,

confirmed by all indicators at the same time.

Rules Detreend forex trading System

Long Entry

1 The Detrend indicator cross above the zero line.

2The MACD line must be above the signal line.

3 The +DI should be above the –DI or just be crossing above the -DI. (As you learned, this is not 100% necessary, but preferable.)

4 the 3 MA must cross above the 15 MA up to 3 candles either

before or after the upward cross of the Detrend Indicator.

Short Entry

1 The Detrend indicator cross below the zero line.

2 The MACD line must be below the signal line.

3 The +DI should be below the –DI or just be crossing below the -DI. (As you learned, this is not 100% necessary, but preferable.)

4 Finally, the 3 MA must cross below the 15 MA up to 3 candles either

before or after the upward cross of the Detrend indicator .

Exit Position (EUR/USD 60 min)

Place your stop loss 10 pips below the 15 MA on a long trade or 15 pips above the 15 MA on a short trade, OR put the stop at 30 pips, whichever is closer. (35 – 40 on the EUR/USD)

Continually trail the stop 10 pips below the 15 MA on a long trade or 15 pips above the 15 MA on a short trade, as the currency moves in your favor.

Once you are up 50 pips, move your stop loss to your entry point. Leave the stop loss at your entry

point for the duration of the trade.

Exit the trade when the 3 MA crosses below the 15 MA if you are long, or when the 3 MA crosses above the 15 MA if you’re short.

This is an example of a buy signal on the USD/CHF that was not confirmed by the DMI. If

you look closely, at the time of this trade the +DI had not yet crossed above the –DI. It was

still below it, however the +DI and –DI were converging very close together, and the DPO

had crossed 2 candles after the 3/15 cross, and the MACD confirmed the trade, so it was

okay to take this signal. Had the two lines of the DMI still been very far apart and widely separated you would want to pass on the trade. This ended up being a very profitable trade. It is important that when exiting the trade, you wait for the 3 to fully cross the 15 MA, because as you can see by the area that is circled on the chart, they nearly crossed but didn’t quite cross in the middle of the trade, and the currency ended up moving quite a bit further before the 3/15 finally crossed, confirming the exit of the trade.

Bought – 1.2447

Stop Loss – 1.2410 (37 pips, 10 pips below the 15 MA)

Sold – 1.2656

Profit – 209 Pips

WMA trading system what technical indicators do you need?

• 1 hour (or 30Mins) candlesticks/bar charts. (If you use 30 Min chart, you might see more

whipsaws than using 1 hour chart).

• 18 EMA & 28 EMA (put them in red color in the chart).

• 5 WMA (put it in blue color in the chart) & 8 WMA (put it in yellow color in the chart).

These are standard, common indicators and are included in every charting program. You can use any charting software program you like: E-signal, MetaStock, TradeStation, MetaTrader 4, Ninjatrader, Visual Trader,Metatrader 5. I will explain how to get these technical indicators to appear in the chart later.

• The 18 EMA & 28 EMA are two red lines which form a tunnel, these will help you to determine the start of a trend and the end of a trend. => This is used for Long term

• The WMA & 8 WMA will show you when to enter a trend, they will also help you to see the strength of the trends.  This is used for Short term

2. Entry Signals

You should only open a position, when the red tunnel (formed by 18 & 28 EMA) is extremely narrow or crossed !

LONG: Open a long position when 5 WMA & 8 WMA cross the red tunnel upwards. If the 5 WMA also crosses the 8 WMA upwards, then the signal is extra strong.

SHORT: Open short position when 5 WMA & 8 WMA cross the red tunnel downwards.

If the 5 WMA also crosses the 8 WMA downwards, then the signal is extra strong.

3. Exit Signals

Signals that show the end of the chosen trend:

LONG: Close your existing long position when The price has reached a top and 5 WMA dives

under 8 WMA

SHORT: Close your existing short position when The price has reached a bottom and 5 WMA

jumps above 8 WMA

4. Stop Loss:

Use a 10-15 pip stop loss (for manual trading). Always use a stop loss to secure your account.

(However in the tradingEA software I purposely set the stop loss to 45 because the software works

better with that setting. It is too long to explain in detail why but that the way it is).

5. Recommended Currency Pairs:

The best pair is EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/CHF, USD/JPY, AUD/USD, AUD/JPY, NZD/USD.

The system is rather short, simple and down to the point. Yet it is very profitable if you implement it right. If you can do manual trading, it would be the best because you can have control on everything. However if you don’t have trading experience or don’t have time to monitor the market, you can use the software coming along with this manual, it can automatically trade for you.

Always close your position when boundary’s of the red tunnel cross each other or when they become so narrow that they merge into one! This is a clear sign of a trend reversal. After you see this, close your position and open a new position in the other way (For example, If you opened a long position and now you see that sign of trend reversal, close that long position, open a short position.)

When in a trade and the 5 WMA & 8 WMA cross the red tunnel -> Pay attention! As long as the red tunnel boundary’s doesn’t cross each other there is no problem( but often this is a sign that they will!) In this case, just keep the position, don’t close or open a new trade.

WMA Trading System

Point 1: First, focus on the entry short at point 1. You can see at this point, the red tunnel is very

narrow and actually the 2 red EMAs cross each other here.

Things to notice here are: the red tunnel is heading downward and the 5 WMA(blue) & 8WMA

(yellow) cross the red tunnel downwards. This signal is very strong because the 5 WMA also

crosses the 8 WMA downwards. The bearish signal here is very clear. So we enter a short order.

Point 2: Here, you can see the tunnel is narrow and the EMAs cross again. We open an order

which is the opposite of the previous order. At point 1, we already opened a short order, now we

need to close that order, and open a new opposite order, which is a long order right at point 2.

(Another way to confirm we need to close the short order right here, is that the 5 WMA jumps

above 8 WMA).

The long signal is even stronger here because 5 WMA & 8 WMA cross the red tunnel upwards.

Point 3: The EMAs cross again, so we know we need to close the existing order and open an

opposite order. We close long and open short order here. You also can notice that 5 WMA dives

under 8 WMA. It is time to exit the long order.

We apply the same rules at Point 4, 5, 6, 7 and have the long/short orders correspondingly.

In this example, we apply the same rules as in example 1.

Just one thing I want to emphasize: there is one point of attention here.

At that point, the tunnel is quite narrow, but there is no tunnel cross, so we don’t need to close the

existing order, just continue ride the trend.

In this example, I want to emphasize about the importance of placing StopLoss order. You must place Stop Loss all the time. At point 1, it seems we need to open a short order (as of the rules of the system), however due to some good political news released at that time, the price continued going up. We can get burned if we don’t place StopLoss. Using Stop Loss properly, we only lose a little meanwhile following the system we can make tremendous profit.

minutes.

What is pip?

PIP means point. The word PIP is used by traders during transactions. How pip or point is counted? A pip is the last decimal place of a quotation. The Pip or Point as it is sometimes referred to depending on context is how we will measure our profit or loss.As each currency has its own value it is necessary to calculate the value of a pip for that particular currency. Let’s say you are trading GBP/USD currency at the opening price of 1.8750 and there has been a raise to 1.8800. It means that the GBP/USD pair has raise up to 50 points or pip.

What is leverege?

Leverage means ‘guaranteed margin’. For example if you have a capital in forex trading or stocks of 100usd. If one leverage charge is 1:100, it means that you have been given a right by a forex platform to buy 100 times larger than the capital that you have. It means that with value of 100usd you can be given a capital of 10,000usd. With this capital investment you can do transactions at a larger trading volume.

Every forex platform offers its own leverage. In this case the larger the leverage, the bigger profit

or loss. The smaller the leverage, the profit and loss is smaller. Below is an example of leverage:-

What is contract Size?

Contract size is a digging factor in estimating the profit or loss. The value is fixed by a country at

the value of 10,000.

What is lot?

Lot is a contract in every transaction that you want to do. If I want to do a currency trading, let’s

say I buy EURO against USD, an opening value of the transaction will be stated in lot. Every

forex platform has a different lot value. Some has bigger opening lot value and some has smaller

opening lot value.

What is the spreads

In the currency markets It is the difference between BUY and SELL, or BID and ASK. Basically,

this is the difference between the market makers "selling" price (to its customers) and the value the market maker "buys" it from its clients. If an trader buys a currency and immediately sells it (and thus there is no change in the rate of trade), the trader will lose money. The reason for this is “the spread”. At any given moment, the amount that will be received in the counter currency when selling a unit of base currency will be lower than the amount of counter currency which is required to purchase a unit of base currency. For instance, the EUR/USD bid/ask currency rates at your

bank may be 1.2015/1.3015, representing a spread of 1,000 pips (percentage in points; one pip = 0.0001). Such a rate is much higher than the bid/ask currency rates that online Forex traders generally encounter, such as 1.2015/1.2020, with a spread of 5 pips. Generally, smaller spreads be more effective for forex traders since they require a smaller movement in currency rates in order to profit from a trade.

What is the Margin?

Brokers, Banks and or online forex trading companies require guarantee to be sure that the trader can pay in the event of a loss. The collateral is called the “margin” and is also known as minimal security in Foreign Exchange markets. In practice, it is a deposit to the traders account that is intended to cover any currency trading losses in the future.
Margin permits private traders to trade in markets that have high minimal units of trading, by allowing traders to hold a much larger position than their account value. Margin trading also enhances the amount of profit, but similarly enhances the rate of loss, beyond which taken without leveraging.

In ultima noastra analiza pe indicele dolarului spuneam ca pretul testeaza nivelul de rezistenta dinamic al unghiului 3x1 si daca acesta va ceda deschide cale libera catre nivelul de rezistenta dinamica al unghiului 8x1. Dupa cum putem sa vedem in graficul postat mai sus pretul a realizat un top exact pe nivelul de rezistenta dinamica al unghiului 3x1 in momentul in care s-a suprapus cu nivelul de rezistenta timp de la 75% a box-ului nostru Gann. Dupa cum stim, Gann spunea ca in momentul in care timpul se suprapune cu pretul exista un grad foarte ridicat de probabilitate ca trendul sa-si modifice directia. Putem sa vedem ca pretul nu a reusit sa strapunga rezistenta dinamica si pe acea zona a realizat un double top dupa care azi s-a prabusit in mod accelerat. In mod evident prima tinta de pret pentru indicele dolarului este pe zona de rezistenta a canalului de pret aflat in confluenta cu nivelul de 50% a box-ului Gann. Daca acest nivel de suport va ceda urmatoarea tinta pentru pret este pe nivelul de suport fix de 0.666 . Ultimul target din perspectiva noastra ar trebui sa fie in zona de suport de la 98.50. Ce va trebui sa urmarim in aceasta tranzactie short? In primul rand sa vedem daca pretul va strapunge canalul de consolidare. Daca pretul va strapunge suportul canalului de consolidare si va gasi suport la 0.666 foarte probabil va realiza o corectie sub suportul canlului de consolidare dupa care va continua miscarea descendenta. Dar pana atunci va trebui sa managerizam corect pozitia short si sa vizam primul obiectiv de pret unde vom marca partial profitul si vom duce pozitia la BE+.
